| Party Nights
The Christmas 1999 meal was on the 15th December at the Craythorne, this was our 2nd time here, the facilities for wheelchairs are good and as
can be seen from the photo's we had a great time, after the food a disco started up which signalled dance time for those
inclined that way.
Burton Phab's 10th Anniversary
The anniversary was celebrated in Setember 2000, we had a party to celebrate and as well as club members
being present we also had the company of the Mayor of Burton and Councillor Heptonstall, as seen opposite.
As always there was good food and plenty of it, and with a cake for the ocassion.
The Christmas meal 2000
was held at the Branston
Golf Club on Wednesday the 13th of December, the surroundings, decorations were superb and the meal was
very well presented and delicious. During the evening we had a magician going round the tables doing tricks etc,
margaret was given a teddy holding a heart all made from balloons, she said she felt like a queen. There was
music, laughter, party poppers going off and crackers being pulled. We ended the evening with dancing and
everyone seemed to enjoy themselves as can be seen from the photo's. Told by Mandy Corden.
Christmas party 2000
was held on Monday 18th December and as usual our catering staff, mainly
alias Gwen and Hazel supplied us with plenty of good food. We played a couple of party games one being an
Irish version of bingo where everyone stands up but if a number on your card is called then you sit down, the last
person standing is the winner, the other game being a slant on pass the parcel where instead of a parcel it is
a bag of clothes that goos round and whoever has the bag when the music stops takes out a garment and puts
it on, at the end of the game there was men with womens clothes on and vice versa, bit of cheating went on with
this game. After everyone had eaten it was time for Paul's party piece, a plate of squirty cream in the face with
Hazel getting the second one. Then it was time to wish everyone a merry christmas and then go home.
Christmas party 2001 was held on Monday 10th December and as ever of the catering and preparations were arranged by members of the club.
Besides all the food we had various games, including bingo, and the irish version, and a game simular to charades.
The Christmas meal 2001
was held again at the Branston Golf Club, on Wednesday the 19th of December, as on our previous party everthing was very nice
but this time there wasn't a magician, which for me was a dissappointment and I for one fancy a different venue next christmas.

PHABS CHRISTMAS PARTY
On Monday 16th December 2002 we had a Christmas Party. Everybody turned at up 7.00pm we had fun & games. Like the chocolate game where you role a dice if lands on a six you put on funny clothes and eat a piece of chocolate with an
knife and fork keep going until someone else gets another six. Then we had some tea I had lots to eat after we played bingo with a difference if any number come up on your card you sit down on a chair and the last one standing
wins prize and it was hard but I got the hang of it. I really enjoyed the PHABS Christmas Party.
